We're losing water by the buckets!
Captain the boat is taking on water. Abandon ship. More like dont drink the water, and NO brushing your teeth. So when my dentist says, you havent been brushing lately. I can tell him, its because my Uni told me not too. I thought people were going to cry today when Starbucks posted this sign... "We are closed until the boil order is lifted"
I got this email today... yeah just an email telling me not to drink the water....
"The attached message was sent to the university community. Please be advised that this information also applies to the residents of University Housing. Water jugs are located in the first floor lobby area of each residence hall. Please feel free to buy bottled water for your own use. Hopefully, this repair will be promptly completed which would minimize any disruption of service. The boiler order will be in effect from 5:00 p.m. TODAY until you receive a notice from University Housing that it has been lifted. "
Yeah nice of them to alert me after the fact that i have been kicking back water today like it's free beer. Do you think the Brita Water Filters will take out the harmful stuff? Oh well.

Hahaha...a few years ago, there was a scare in Sydney: "There's Giardia (sp?) in the drinking water!" Yes, if we drank the water at all, we'd come down with stomach cramps, nausea, you name it.
So we didn't brush our teeth, we boiled the water before we made cordial...and then it turned out that we probably had this bacteria in the water the whole time and that we were still all alive to tell the tale. I love it!
Don't worry, it's all fixed now.
Funny you should be talking about water, and not being able to drink it. Our water got cut off this morning, without notice as far as I know, which means that I have no idea when the water will be reconnected. There are workers outside doing things, so I presume that everything's under control (*laughs nervously*).
Come now, my fine journeymen, I have laundry to do! I'm just glad that I carried out my personal ablutions before the water went. I can't stand not having a shower in the morning.

Thanks all for those interesting stories. Scottie telling me that the water in Sydney was infected with bacteria is not a good way to impress me into staying or wanting to live there, now is it?
CFKAMC: Now, first off, it took me a bit, but i did figure out what the letters stood for, but for me, they still stand because, it is STILL a mystery to who you are! All i know is that you want to go see Alexander and drool with me, you like to shower (thats a good thing), but all in all, mysterious people are intriguing. Maybe we should just keep it a mystery :-D
